Analytics is another important piece of my purchasing system.!

When I say, “I want to buy blogs with lead magnets,” I’m serious. Lead magnets are the driving force behind the success of any digital strategy. They are the instruments that convert casual readers to committed subscribers and prospects. And that’s precisely why my criteria is crystal clear I want to buy blogs that already have high-converting lead magnets in place, ready to drive genuine results from day one.

They had lead magnets organized, so purchasing a blog saves you time. A lead magnet is all these things and more, and whether you choose to offer a free eBook, downloadable checklist, exclusive report, invite to a webinar, or discount code the better use you make of your lead magnet the more people you can sign up to join your email list and, eventually, nurturing potential clients. Not to mention I want to avoid the trial-and-error process of creating lead magnets from the ground up. So instead, I’d much rather buy blogs that know their audience and their mechanisms for capturing leads.

So, what makes a lead magnet blog worth purchasing? First, you need your lead magnet to be strategically applied and integrated within your content. You have valuable information, a strategy or technique that should help them, and your article solution should have a clear benefit and solve a real problem for the audience. The conversion part--I want to see lead magnets that are integrated with an automated follow-up sequence (like an email drip campaign) to keep the subscriber engaged and convert. This setup shows that the blog owner knows how funnel-based marketing works and has genuinely spent time and effort growing the value on the long-term.

The niche also plays a role, however. I want blogs in niches where lead generation is a core strategy for monetization— for example, digital marketing, personal finance, real estate, online education, health & wellness, and business development. Trust and authority, which are essential elements in these industries, tend to come with the presence of a well-designed lead magnet — the lack of one speaks volumes of a blog’s state-of-maturity and ability to turn traffic into a sequence of communications leading to a sale.

I want to know how many subscribers each lead magnet has brought in; what conversion rates it achieved; and whether or not those leads have been cultivated into customers. The numbers keep getting better and the blog keeps getting more valuable. Even better that the blog already has a healthy subscriber list—this is a list that I can market, build and monetize.

And ultimately, when I say, “I want to buy blogs with lead magnets,” I’m referring to digital properties that are more than content repositories, they’re well-oiled marketing machines. These medium-sized blogs should already have normalized tools and tactics to perform organic growth, convert traffic, and retain users.
